Tested from the Bulk Lot
Specimens for our lab and samples for third-party labs are cut from the production lot that will be shipped, so the report describes the fabric you receive.

FABRIC TESTING & QUALITY CONTROL
We test colour fastness and physical performance on every bulk lot, to ISO, AATCC and ASTM methods, using specimens cut from the fabric that will be shipped.

Cut from the bulk lot
4-point inspection
These three rules apply to every lot.
Specimens for our lab and samples for third-party labs are cut from the production lot that will be shipped, so the report describes the fabric you receive.
If an order has no test specification, the bulk lot still gets in-house colour fastness checks before packing.
Colour change and staining are graded against grey scales in a light booth. At least two technicians grade each specimen.
Colour fastness and physical tests on every bulk lot.

Our in-house lab runs the colour fastness and physical tests that knit fabric specifications ask for, to ISO, AATCC and ASTM methods. Each method has a written work instruction at the bench.

“Our measured range” comes from our own test records on bulk lots. “Values in buyer specifications” are requirements we have received; the value that applies to your order is the one written into it. — Xiwen Zhang, Co-founder & CEO
Every step leaves a record that can be checked against the order.
The bulk lot is compared with the approved lab dip under the agreed light source.
Specimens cut from the bulk lot are tested for the colour fastness and physical properties in the order.
When required, samples from the same lot go to your nominated lab, such as SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek.
Every roll is inspected before packing with the 4-point system (ASTM D5430).
When an order needs an independent report, we send samples cut from the bulk lot to the lab you nominate.
Example: an SGS report on one of our chenille knit fabrics, tested to ISO 105-C06 (A2S, 40 °C), rated 4-5 for colour change and 4 to 4-5 for staining on all six fibres of the multifibre strip. The same report found no restricted aromatic amines from azo dyes (EN ISO 14362-1, REACH Annex XVII).
Tell us the garment, care instructions and market. These decide which properties matter most.
Method, procedure code, revolutions, wash and drying conditions, and shade groups.
We show our measured range for the fabric and shade, and options where there is a gap.
Yes. Specimens for in-house tests and samples sent to third-party labs are cut from the production lot that will be shipped.
Yes. Our lab runs ISO and AATCC colour fastness methods, and we test to the method named in your specification.
Yes. We send samples from the bulk lot to the lab you nominate, such as SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek, and share the report.
Our fabrics typically measure grade 4 to 4-5 for colour change in ISO 105-C06. We confirm the expected result for your fabric and shade before the order.
ASTM D5430: each visible defect gets 1 to 4 penalty points by length, and the total is reported per 100 square yards and compared with the agreed acceptance level.
