TESTMETHODE · ISO 105-E01
ISO 105-E01 laat zien of een stof kleur afgeeft wanneer deze nat is. De test gebruikt dezelfde apparatuur als de zweetproef, maar met water in plaats van zweet. Het Amerikaanse equivalent is AATCC 107.

The fabric and a multifibre strip are soaked in distilled water, held under pressure at body temperature, dried and graded. Poor results show up as bleeding onto light fabrics in a wet garment or damp storage.
Our technicians follow a written work instruction for this method.
Water and perspiration tests share equipment and are often run together.
A 40 × 100 mm specimen is sewn to a multifibre strip along one short edge.
The composite is fully wetted in distilled water for 30 minutes, then excess water is removed.
Specimens are held between resin plates under 12.5 kPa at 37 ± 2 °C for 4 hours.
Dried at no more than 60 °C. Graded with the ISO 105-A02 grey scale for colour change and A03 for staining (AATCC EP1/EP2 for AATCC methods), under the agreed light source in a light booth, by at least two technicians.

Ask us for results for the selected fabric, shade and test conditions. Acceptance values for your order are agreed in writing.
Water fastness and wet rubbing describe related risks; specify both for dark shades.
Give one grade for colour change and one for staining.
ISO 105-E01, AATCC 107 and GB/T 5713 are similar but not identical.
Whether a fabric bleeds colour when wet, which predicts staining when wet garments touch light fabrics.
They test the same property in a similar way, but details differ, so the method should be named in the specification.
Dark and bright shades, especially on cotton.
