TYGTESTER & KVALITETSKONTROLL

Testning av stickade tyger i vårt eget labb

Vi testar färghärdighet och fysisk prestanda på varje produktionsparti enligt ISO-, AATCC- och ASTM-metoder, med prover uttagna ur det tyg som ska levereras.

01

How We Test the Fabric You Buy

These three rules apply to every lot.

Tested from the Bulk Lot

Specimens for our lab and samples for third-party labs are cut from the production lot that will be shipped, so the report describes the fabric you receive.

Tested Even Without a Request

If an order has no test specification, the bulk lot still gets in-house colour fastness checks before packing.

Graded by Two Technicians

Colour change and staining are graded against grey scales in a light booth. At least two technicians grade each specimen.

Inside Our Testing Lab

Colour fastness and physical tests on every bulk lot.

Runtang Textile in-house fabric testing laboratory
Our in-house testing lab.

Our in-house lab runs the colour fastness and physical tests that knit fabric specifications ask for, to ISO, AATCC and ASTM methods. Each method has a written work instruction at the bench.

“Our measured range” comes from our own test records on bulk lots. “Values in buyer specifications” are requirements we have received; the value that applies to your order is the one written into it. — Xiwen Zhang, Co-founder & CEO

04

From Bulk Lot to Shipment

Every step leaves a record that can be checked against the order.

01

Shade Check

The bulk lot is compared with the approved lab dip under the agreed light source.

02

In-House Testing

Specimens cut from the bulk lot are tested for the colour fastness and physical properties in the order.

03

Third-Party Testing

When required, samples from the same lot go to your nominated lab, such as SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek.

04

4-Point Inspection

Every roll is inspected before packing with the 4-point system (ASTM D5430).

05

Third-Party Test Reports

When an order needs an independent report, we send samples cut from the bulk lot to the lab you nominate.

Example: an SGS report on one of our chenille knit fabrics, tested to ISO 105-C06 (A2S, 40 °C), rated 4-5 for colour change and 4 to 4-5 for staining on all six fibres of the multifibre strip. The same report found no restricted aromatic amines from azo dyes (EN ISO 14362-1, REACH Annex XVII).

06

Agree Test Requirements Before Production

Start from the End Use

Tell us the garment, care instructions and market. These decide which properties matter most.

Write Full Conditions

Method, procedure code, revolutions, wash and drying conditions, and shade groups.

Compare with Measured Data

We show our measured range for the fabric and shade, and options where there is a gap.

Fabric Testing Questions

Are your test samples cut from the bulk fabric?

Yes. Specimens for in-house tests and samples sent to third-party labs are cut from the production lot that will be shipped.

Do you test to AATCC as well as ISO?

Yes. Our lab runs ISO and AATCC colour fastness methods, and we test to the method named in your specification.

Can you send fabric to our nominated lab?

Yes. We send samples from the bulk lot to the lab you nominate, such as SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek, and share the report.

What colour fastness to washing do your fabrics reach?

Our fabrics typically measure grade 4 to 4-5 for colour change in ISO 105-C06. We confirm the expected result for your fabric and shade before the order.

What is the 4-point inspection system?

ASTM D5430: each visible defect gets 1 to 4 penalty points by length, and the total is reported per 100 square yards and compared with the agreed acceptance level.
