01

Quality Starts with the Right Fabric

Bring the end use into the fabric decision, then carry the approved specification through the order.

Material & Construction

Composition, knit structure, GSM and width define the fabric you are selecting. They form the starting point for comparing qualities and planning the garment.

Colour & Hand Feel

Use the selected sample and colour reference to describe the finish you want. Lab-dip approval gives custom colours a clear reference before bulk production.

The Finished Garment

Wash behaviour, pilling, colourfastness and recovery matter differently for a summer tee, a fitted top or loungewear. Testing should reflect the way the garment will be used.

02

Fabric Performance That Matters to Your Collection

The most useful test is one that answers a real product requirement. The method and acceptance level are agreed for the selected fabric.

Need certified fabric for your collection?

Tell us the standard your buyer requires (OEKO-TEX®, GOTS, GRS, OCS or FSC™) and the fabric you are looking at. We confirm it is within scope before you order.

Certificates for a shipment

A GOTS, GRS or OCS scope certificate shows that we are certified. It does not prove that a particular shipment is certified: that is done with a Transaction Certificate (TC). If your order needs certified material, tell us at the enquiry stage so it is planned from the yarn onward.

Name on the certificates

The certificates show our former registered name, Foshan Runtang Textile And Dyeing Co., Ltd. Our company is now RUNTANG TEXTILE CO., LTD. It is the same company, and the certification bodies will update the name at the next renewal.

Certificate numbers

Certificate and licence numbers are hidden in the images on this page. We send them on request so you can check each certificate in the issuer's public database.

Read a Report in the Context of Your Order

A test result becomes useful when it is connected to the fabric you are buying. Here is a real example: an SGS report on one of our chenille knit fabrics, tested in May 2026 for an apparel order.

The Identified Fabric

The item, composition, colour and sample or lot reference connect the report to the material under review. In this report: chenille knit, 99% polyester / 1% elastane, colour Dark Night.

The Actual Test

The method, conditions, result and units show what was measured. Here, ISO 105-C06 A2S means a 40 °C wash with steel balls, rated on the 1–5 grey scale where 5 is best.

Your Acceptance Standard

The agreed order requirements establish the acceptance level. In this report each result sits next to the buyer’s required level, so the Pass is easy to check.

Quality & Certification Questions

Can you work with our brand testing requirements?

Yes. Your testing protocol can form part of the fabric discussion, including the methods, acceptance levels and reports required for the order.

Does a higher GSM mean better quality?

GSM describes fabric weight. The right quality also depends on composition, construction, finish and suitability for the garment. A lightweight summer T-shirt and a heavyweight streetwear tee need different fabric choices.

Does one certificate cover every fabric?

No. A certificate applies within its stated holder, validity and scope. Certification information needs to match the selected fabric and the order.

Can I evaluate a fabric before a bulk order?

Yes. Samples can be requested for fabric selection, wash testing and trial garments. Sample availability and any sample or courier charges are confirmed before dispatch.

Is your OEKO-TEX® certificate suitable for babywear?

Our OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificate is Product Class I, the class for baby articles with the strictest limits for harmful substances. It covers the knitted fabrics listed in its scope, so we confirm that the fabric you choose is included before you order.

Can I get a Transaction Certificate (TC) for my GOTS, GRS or OCS order?

A Transaction Certificate is the document that proves a specific shipment is certified; the scope certificate alone does not. Tell us at the enquiry stage that your order needs a TC, so the certified yarn and paperwork are planned before production starts.

How can I verify your certificates?

Each certificate can be checked in the issuer's public database: OEKO-TEX® Label Check, the GOTS certified supplier database, the Textile Exchange database for GRS and OCS, and the FSC certificate search. We send the certificate numbers on request.

Why do your certificates show Foshan Runtang Textile And Dyeing Co., Ltd.?

That is our former registered name. The company is now RUNTANG TEXTILE CO., LTD.; it is the same company, and the certification bodies will update the name at the next renewal.
