Runtang Textile develops, produces and supplies knit fabrics. We are based in Zhangcha, Foshan, Guangdong, and work with brands, designers and apparel manufacturers on casualwear, activewear, underwear, loungewear and functional apparel. Our fabrics are knitted, dyed and finished in Foshan, and our own team manages development, lab dips, testing and quality control.
We see ourselves as a fabric solutions partner rather than a fabric seller: we help you develop the fabric, sample it quickly, approve the colour and move to bulk with consistent quality.

We offer recycled polyester and nylon under our GRS certification, organic cotton under GOTS and FSC viscose, each within the relevant certificate scope. Certification applies to a stated holder, scope and validity period, so we confirm the documents for each certified order.
Co-founder & CEO
Xiwen Zhang is a graduate of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and co-founded Runtang Textile in 2009. With extensive experience in knit fabric production and development, he specializes in the research, development and application of new textile materials. His expertise connects material properties, fabric construction and manufacturing processes with the performance of the finished garment.
At Runtang, Xiwen brings material innovation into practical production, considering hand feel, functionality and quality consistency alongside the feasibility of moving from sampling to bulk manufacturing. He reviews the technical content on this website, including our testing and lab dip guides.
We are based in Zhangcha, Chancheng District, Foshan, Guangdong, China, one of China’s main knit fabric production areas.
Our fabrics are knitted, dyed, mercerized and finished in Foshan, one of China’s main knit fabric clusters. Development, lab dips, testing and quality control are handled by our own team.
Stock colours start from 1 roll (~23 kg) per colour. Custom colours start from 200 kg per colour, and a newly developed fabric from 1,000 kg of greige fabric. How to order →
